DESIGN PACKAGES.

For many businesses, whether established or just starting out, there are common deliverables required to get started, or restarted. These Brand Builder Packages aim to efficiently and effectively address typical scenarios and help you get started with me by giving you all the info, pronto. You can pick one ‘off the shelf’ or talk to me about tailoring a package to meet your precise needs.

BESPOKE SCOPE.

Because every business is unique, your design deliverables may demand special attention. My bespoke scope service is great if you have a very specific brief, or you’re generally foggy about your needs. I’ll work closely with you to understand exactly what it is you require to reach your desired business goals.

HOW TO HIRE ME.

If you’ve taken a good look around this site and decided you like the cut of my gib, here’s how to get started.

  1. PRICING, PROCESSES AND POLICIES

Start by reviewing my Getting Started document. This introduces you to my processes, pricing and what kinds of clients/projects I can add the most value to. It also answers some FAQs.

  2. PROJECT QUESTIONNAIRE

When you’ve reviewed the Getting Started PDF, and you’re feeling good about what I can do for you, you’ll be prompted to fill in a Project Questionnaire. If you’d prefer to have a chat first – I’d love to hear from you!

  3. MEETING

When I‘ve received your Project Questionnaire, I’ll be in touch to schedule a skype meeting, phone call or real live get together (if you’re local), so that we can get to know each other and iron out any remaining questions either of us may have.

  4. PROPOSAL

Based on your project questionnaire and our meeting, I’ll prepare and send you a Statement of Work, an estimate and a proposed schedule.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER + STRATEGIC THINKER

I’m an award-winning senior graphic designer with an unapologetic gluten intolerance and a shameless devotion to quality window wipers. While I lack the desire to match socks, I have an overwhelming drive to partner quality design work with businesses in order to propel them towards their growth ambitions. I’m also the gal that tries to identify fonts in opening credits. It’s silly, I know, but the heart wants what it wants…

My formal training started with a Bachelor of Graphic Design obtained from AUT in Auckland, New Zealand. I graduated back in 2000 with distinction, a sunny disposition and a can-do attitude.

My informal training started at age 9 when I learnt that I too could be as rad as my graphic designer uncle with the BEST. PENS. EVER. Figuring out there is an actual JOB doing something you want to be doing anyway is a defining moment for any kid. Taking me on a tour of the top Graphic Design school in New Zealand at age 13 left no stone unturned.

Once I received my formal training (at aforementioned design school) I took my first job where I learned the ropes of the ‘real world’. I then departed for Wellington to persue my ultimate trajectory as a self-employeed graphic designer. I deviated from this when an opportunity presented itself to work for a design agency as a stand-in art director (theirs was holed up in jury service for 3 months, gasp!). We were a good fit, that business and I, so I moved into a Business Manager and Brand Strategy role, as well as stepping in as Senior Designer for the big jobs.

When I’d achieved my business development and growth goals there, I made the leap back into my happy place that is self-employment, where holiday-pay and sick-leave is a thing of myths and legends, but the pens are still awesome. This is where I get to wear a wardrobe full of different hats, meet the inevitable challenges of business ownership, pick apart what my clients need from their brand partner and deliver on the strategy we cunningly devise.

By gum I love it.

I relish working with people that delight in the experience of seeing their businesses come to life and grow through effective graphic design. My business is more than just graphic design services through – it’s about people, relationships and building something tangible that helps these folk get to where they want to go, from both a business owner and consumer perspective. I have deep admiration for these talented people I work with.

I’m excited to think what’s possible for your business through a well executed brand, so if you’re interested in having a chat, I’d love to hear from you!
